post no.3 hohoho

Since i still cant think of anything to write about while posting the 2nd post, i shall steal the 10 questions from the back of the question paper by Ms Chan to meet the requirements of january.

1. A time in subject class when i felt good about myself
When i successfully annoy or make fun of ammani.

2. A time in subject class i felt embarassed about my lack of English
When Ms Chan starts asking definitions and i didnt bring my dictionary (paiseh o ms chan)

3. A task I found very hard and why
To BLOG, because i am so so so so so so so so lazy.

4. My thoughts about homework, quizzes or tests
Homework=bad, quizzes=gud, tests=excellent

5. How college is different from secondary school
One obvious difference is the dress code. U hav to TUCK in ure shirt in high school (though i didnt really bother back then) but so far in college i have only seen one person who tucks in his shirt (hi vege). Other than that, college has shorter school hours compared to secondary school and i really enjoy the former because i am a lazy man = )

6. What i do try and improve my 4 language skills
This is probably my favourite question of all the 10. Honestly, i started learning hokkien by listening to other ppl throwing vulgar words at each other (knn ccb lc lp), and from then on, i managed to improve my hokkien. So MAYBE, this method can be applied while trying to improve my other language skills. Perhaps, canto and chinese, but not english. One example of using this way to strengthen my language will be to translate words from hokkien to canto then to chinese. Eg. Kannine (hokkien) = Diu lei lou mou (canto) = Kan ni lao ma (chinese) (i am not sure about the chinese version)
p.s. sry ms chan i had to do this was trying to prove my point lol

7. Ways I have for learning vocabulary and grammar
I guess the only way of doing the former is to read more and check the dictionary for words u cant define. Grammar wise, i just hav to speak english more often and get humiliated by being corrected for the errors i make while speaking.

8. What I find most difficult about learning English.
Seriously, literature. I mean, to interpret the message of a movie is still ok, but literature? In my opinion, some famous poets like to torture students, because they write those poems that are SO abstract. The irony about this is the more abstract the poem the greater the value and hence the greater the respect earned by the poet. Thus i shall write a poem so abstract that i bet nobody can understand:
Yenne pulenggeh,
Ahmad jia taugeh,
It li sa si gor,
Sing yong cheng de kor.
Happy interpreting.

9. Suggestions for ESL lesson activities
Ms Chan, i think we should have more plays, that way we can remember the events in the novel better and everyone can hav fun =D

10. My response to certain topics
This one hor, next time pls, coz i tak tau apa topic

  2. First Impression would be, downright humorous. Now the question, Why?
I would say you did great in poking fun at certain things as you always did. So mocking is another alternative to bring humor, at least placed at the right moments...
