Positive Thinking

Aren't you sick of people telling you to adopt positive thinking? Is it really that good? Do you even know what is positive thinking?

Positive thinking is simple. Basically it is just manipulating your thinking of something which is bad, and turning it into something good.

Simple yet difficult to adopt, to practise, to master. Many people are unable to have positive thinking. Someone once told me that positive thinking is self deceiving. It is true in a way.

See the thing about positive thinking is that we shouldn't look at it such that it is about the "thinking", but rather what comes with that "thinking". The mentality. The mentality that will keep you not only motivated, but determined, and having the right attitude at what you do. Assuming that you failed terribly at something, you would probably feel sad, disappointed, miserable, mulling over your failure, sulking at what you cannot achieve. However if you adopt positive thinking, you would treat it as a valuable experience, a priceless lesson in life. And with THIS thinking, you will continue to be enthusiastic at what you do, and continue to move on with life.

It is hard to get over failures, sometimes to the extent that you think its the end of the world. And these are the times when people are unable to move on with their lives, imprisoned and trapped inside their vessel of failure.

It doesn't matter if positive thinking is all about deception. Sometimes deceptions are what people need to inculcate the correct attitudes they should practise in life. Deceptions are what they need to straighten their senses and keep them on the right track, to continue moving on.

  1. hardly anyone tells me to adopt positive thinking already. it is not really that good. of course i know what positive thinking is! why do u ask in a way that intimidates your readers?

    positive thinking IS self deceiving.

why should we not look at it such that it is about the "thinking". Is it not the "thinking"? why do u want to prove that it is not about the "thinking". why is it that your suggestion about "what comes with the thinking" so esteemed highly compared to the general thinking about looking at it such that it is about the "thinking".

what is so great about achieving such mentality!

the end of the world! failures are detrimental to commoners like me but not high-achievers like u!

deception is not needed. deception is happening all the time. deception straightens senses! is it bent in the first place! are people on the wrong track anyway!

    why must we move on!!
